About
Allie Fischer is a multidisciplinary artist from Lawrence, KS. She has a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and will receive her Master's in Museum Studies at the University of Kansas. Fischer has participated in the Andrew Mellon Curatorial Summer Program at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. She has also contributed to multiple exhibitions, including The Society for Photographic Education 2019 Midwest Regional Juried Student Exhibition.
Fischer views her work as a contemporary way to process the complexities of my own identity. Through a combination of lens-based media and poetry, I am able to directly confront the way religion, abuse, and familial relationships have formed who I am.
